![]() ![]() The Premium Track is the lower track of the Rift and is only available to Players who purchased the "Battlepass" for 1,000 Auric Cells. The Free Track is the upper track of the Rift and is available to all Players of Dead by Daylight.ĭue to being free, it features fewer Cosmetic pieces and Charms as rewards and up to the introduction of Bloodpoint-Rewards in Patch 6.3.0, featured several empty Rift Tiers that would not give any Rewards. However, going by past experiences, this does not occur for at least a year after a Rift has closed. The sole exception to this are complete Outfits, which eventually come to the in-game Store. Time-limited means that any Reward one failed to obtain from the Rift by progressing through its Rift Tiers will no longer be obtainable once it closes. Thus, there is usually a gap of ~3 weeks in-between Rifts, assuming no extensions. The Rift lasts for 70 Days and generally opens the day after the release of a Mid-Chapter Patch (odd numbers). This means that when the Rift timer displays "1 day left", it actually means that there are still more than 24 hours left, ranging anywhere from exactly 24 hours to 1 day, 23 hours, and 59 minutes. ![]() The Rift timer switches to displaying hours once the final 24 hours begin and switches to minutes once the very last hour begins. This often causes confusions amongst Players when the Rift approaches its final days of being open. The in-game timer displayed in the main menu, on the Challenge Widget, and in The Archives is rounded up to the next full day. The Rift usually opens at 4PM UTC (unless it is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances) and closes at 4PM UTC exactly 70 days later (unless it is extended, which does not affect the closing time, however). The Rift is a recurring time-limited Event that expands the Lore of Dead by Daylight and provides Players with in-game Challenges, the completion of which unlock the aforementioned Lore entries in the Tomes of The Archives, as well as new Cosmetic pieces for various Characters. ![]()
